Crissy Field in SF

One of the greatest things that has happend since my wife and I moved to San Francisco has to be our discovery of Crissy Field, a great beach on the north side of the Presidio. From the beach, a short drive from our house, we can see the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, and Alcatraz. It's very beautiful and great on a day like today when the temperature is in the sixties, it's very sunny, and it's the end of February. We are used to below freezing temperatures, no sun, and a whole lot of slushy, muddy snow blocking our way. Best of all, our Labrador Retriever can swim in the ocean; chasing down and bringing back a tennis ball without getting too overheated. We've been going several times a week and it's great for us and the dog. The off-leash dog policy at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area is currently in limbo and under review, so for now there is no policy, and he can run and jump and swim and play all he wants. Here's a picture of him doing this.

Close! You are correct: there is no "h" in Crissy Field, but there is no "e" either. Together, we'll get it right. Thanks for your attentention and interest in this matter.
